Food court and entrance renovations at Willowbrook Mall are nearly complete.[/caption]

Construction continues at Willowbrook Mall as renovations of its entrances and food court near completion. The Spring-area mall will also have a Dick’s Sporting Goods storefront location open on the premises before the end of 2016.

The food court will feature new furniture and porcelain tile flooring and include increased natural light and lower ceilings when construction is finished in January, Willowbrook Mall General Manager Brenda Crawford said.

Meanwhile, renovations at three of Willowbrook Mall’s four entrances have been completed, adding a new concrete walkway and canopies to the area. The fourth and largest entrance will see the most extensive renovation, Crawford said, adding that the final entrance will be completed this summer. 

“The highlight of the new entrance is going to be a beautiful light box with glass walls that will flood the food court with light,” Crawford said. “Steel is going in at this time to raise the ceiling to accommodate the structure.”

The Dick’s Sporting Goods store is part of a five-mall lease with General Growth Properties, which owns Willowbrook Mall and other local malls such as Baybrook, Deerbrook and The Woodlands malls.
