With 85.93 percent of precinct voting results released, Pete Olson is projected to win the U.S. representative District 9 position with 159,459 votes. Mark Gibson has received 106,548 votes.

Brazoria, Fort Bend and Harris counties released unofficial early voting results showing that incumbent Pete Olson is in the lead with 147,292 votes, while Mark Gibson earned 97,685. Republican incumbent Pete Olson and Democratic candidate Mark Gibson are vying for the position of U.S. Rep. District 22 during the Nov. 8 election.
Olson was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2008. During his tenure, Olson has served as vice chair of the energy and power subcommittee, member of the communications and technology subcommittee and co-chair for the Congressional Refinery Caucus.
Gibson, from Missouri City, prioritizes the growth and prosperity of small businesses and keeping the cost of health care down. District 22 encompasses the southeastern and southwestern parts of the Greater Houston area, including parts of Katy, Sugar Land, Rosenberg, Pearland, Alvin and League City.Obamacare is inefficient & costly.
