1. See “Steel Magnolias” on stage

Stageworks Theatre presents “Steel Magnolias” on the Garza Mainstage with performances running Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 22. 2. Enjoy a family game night
Sept. 6
Harris County Precinct 4 hosts a family game night the first Friday of each month at the Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve. Families can bring their favorite board games to play under the pavilion, and can also enjoy lawn games, ladder ball, giant Jenga and cornhole, all provided by Precinct 4. 5-8 p.m. Free. The Klein Cain High School Band hosts its second annual mattress fundraiser, during which community members can purchase new, brand-name mattresses while supporting the band.
