Food Truck Friday is a family-fun dinner and movie event at Cinco Ranch Lake House. Join a CrossFit competition

CrossFit Katy’s annual Girls of Summer Competition invites athletes of all levels to participate in a fun and encouraging competition. There are two divisions: intermediate and scaled. Try a triathlon or duathlon

The 27th annual Jeff and Brede’s Triathlon returns to Katy. The event allows participants to race in a 300-meter pool swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run through Mary Jo Peckham Park. This year, a duathlon has been added for those who prefer to stay out of the water. It entails a 1-mile run followed by a 10-mile bike ride and finishes with a 3-mile run. 7 a.m. $70. Investigate a murder mystery

June 22

Ride for autism

June 22
Join Katy-area motorcycle riders on an approximately 62-mile drive for a poker run that ends at the Wildcatter Saloon and raises money for an autistic child’s stem cell treatment. There are various stops on the drive for riders to pick up tokens to build a poker hand at the venue, which will feature food and a live performance by the band Silverlights. The best hands win prizes.
