The Texas Department of Transportation and Houston TranStar database announced multiple lane closures affecting drivers in the Tomball and Magnolia areas this week, ending Jan. 25.
FM 2978
One inside lane northbound and southbound of FM 2978 between FM 1488 and Hardin Store Road is closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m from Tuesday, Jan. 22 to Friday, Jan. 25.
FM 1774
FM 1774 northbound and southbound between Mill Creek Drive and Thomas Lane in Magnolia will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and nightly from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. on Jan. 21-25. However, one alternate lane will be available to drivers.
One inside eastbound lane of FM 1774 between FM 1486 and FM 1488 in Magnolia is closed daily 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Jan. 25.
FM 1488
FM 1488 at FM 1774 in Magnolia will see a total closure from 7 p.m. Jan. 20 to 5 a.m. Jan. 21. Drivers are encouraged to follow detour signs.
Hwy. 249
One inside lane of the northbound frontage road from just south of to just north of the Patridge Circle is closed 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Jan. 19. This lane will also be closed daily 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Jan. 22 and 23.
One inside lane of the northbound frontage road between Spring Creek and Decker Prairie Rosehill Road is closed daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Jan. 22-26.
One inside lane of the northbound frontage road from Hardin Store and Decker Prairie roads to the Pinedale Circle is closed daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Jan. 22-26.
Hardin Store Road
Hardin Store Road between Hwy. 249 northbound and Hwy. 249 southbound is totally closed from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Jan. 19. Northbound drivers on Hardin Store can take Hwy. 249 southbound and make a U-turn at Decker Prairie Rosehill Road, while southbound drivers can continue onto Hwy. 249 northbound and make a U-turn at Pinedale Circle.
