Learn about flooding issues at seminar

Speakers address the topic of flooding along Cypress Creek, including experts from Rice University’s Severe Storm Center, the Harris County Flood Control District and other agencies. See an Old West Melodrama production

The Old West Melodrama production “The Haunting of Bella De Ghosse” features an original comedic play set in 1890 after a hurricane in Louisiana. Plot elements include ghosts, pirates and voodoo, and the audience is invited to participate by throwing popcorn during the play. 7 p.m. (dinner), 8 p.m. (performance). $14-$19. Listen to songs from around the world

Remove invasive plant species from county park

Volunteers are invited to join staff to remove invasive plant species. Participants should bring tools and gloves. The event is recommended for participants older than 10 years of age, and reservations are suggested. 9 a.m.-noon. Free.
