Early voting begins Aug. 8 for flood control bond

Early voting on a $2.5 billion bond referendum to help the Harris County Flood Control District fund a variety of projects will begin Aug. 8 and run through Aug. 21. Election day for the bond, which will appear on ballots as Proposition A, is Aug. 25. Find more information on where and when to vote early here. Owners of a new InSPIRE Rock gym in Cypress host a grand opening event Aug. 11 featuring climbing, music, food, drinks and gear giveaways. The gym features 24,000 square feet of climbing area with walls of up to 63 feet in height.
