The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures in the Cy-Fair area this weekend. For the most up-to-date information, visit www.my290.com.



Freeway closures
Hwy. 290 eastbound connector ramp to Loop 610 eastbound

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 28.

  • Drivers can detour to the eastbound frontage road, turn left on W. 18th Street and turn left on the northbound frontage road to enter the main lanes after TC Jester Blvd.


Loop 610 W. northbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 28.

  • Drivers can detour to Loop 610 eastbound, exit at Ella Blvd. and U-turn to Loop 610 westbound and Hwy. 290 westbound.


Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound exit ramps between W. 34th Street and Pinemont Drive

  • Total closure from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.

  • Eastbound drivers can exit at Mangum/Dacoma and U-turn.

  • Westbound drivers can exit at Hollister Street and U-turn.

  • One outside main lane will also be closed on Hwy. 290 eastbound between W. 43rd Street and the entrance ramp before Antoine Drive during this time.


Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice.

  • Drivers can continue on the eastbound frontage road to the Hwy. 6/FM 1960 entrance ramp.


Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Jones Road

  • Total closure until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Bingle Road to Pinemont Drive

  • Two inside lanes will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 28.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Antoine Drive to the Bingle exit ramp

  • One outside lane will be closed Saturday, July 28, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.







Frontage road closures
Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Steeple Way Blvd. to West Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, to 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 28.

  • Drivers can detour right on Steeple Way Blvd. and left on West Road to the westbound frontage road.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from east of Mason Road to Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Mason Road to Fairfield Place

  • One outside lane will be closed until 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 31.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Brookhollow Drive to Beltway 8

  • One outside lane will be closed until 3 p.m. Monday, July 30.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road at Jones Road

  • One inside lane will be closed from 5 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road at Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road entrance ramp

  • Total closure overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 28.

  • Drivers can detour to the westbound Hwy. 290 main lanes, exit at Mason Road and U-turn back to the Mueschke Road intersection.







Street closures
FM 1960 northbound from Wortham Blvd. to N. Eldridge Parkway

  • One outside lane will be closed until 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.


Hempstead Road eastbound from Huffmeister Road to east of Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

  • Drivers can detour northbound on Huffmeister Road to the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road, turn right to Hwy. 6 and turn right on the Hwy. 6 southbound frontage road to Hempstead Road.


Jones Road northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 5 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.
