- The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a public meeting to discuss potential flood mitigation projects for the Addicks Reservoir watershed 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Richard & Meg Weekley Community Center, 8440 Greenhouse Road, Cypress. The meeting will provide residents the chance to give input on projects and address other drainage and flooding issues.
- ICYMI: After the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce announced it would cancel the annual Rice Harvest Festival, the city of Katy announced it will host this year's event and renamed it.
Education
- The Katy ISD board of trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Education Support Complex in downtown Katy for a work study meeting. Items on the agenda include discussing June 2018 budget amendments and holding a public forum.
Business updates
- The Alamo Drafthouse off Mason Road in Katy will close June 21. The company’s new location at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch will officially open with a grand opening celebration July 20. It will hold a soft opening July 2-19.
