1. Harris County commissioners to meet, May 22
The next Harris County Commissioners Court meeting is at 10 am. at 1001 Preston St., Ste. 934, Houston. A copy of this week's agenda is available here. Commissioners are expected to decide on a date for a bond referendum soon.
2. Klein ISD provides information on upcoming tax ratification election, May 22
The Klein ISD board of trustees decided last week to hold a tax ratification election to raise the maintenance and operations tax rate above the $1.04 per $100 valuation allowed by state law. The election will be held June 16, and the first of three community conversations on the topic will be held Tuesday at the Benignus Elementary School cafeteria, 7225 Alvin A. Klein Drive, Spring, at 6:30 p.m.
3. Vote in primary runoff races, May 22
Spring and Klein Republican voters will have an opportunity to vote in the primary runoff race between Kevin Roberts and Dan Crenshaw for the U.S. District 2 nomination. Runoff races are also scheduled in the Democratic nomination for governor and the Democratic nomination for U.S. District 10. Residents can find their nearest voting locations here.
4. Ribbon cutting scheduled for new business, May 24
