21 Hwy. 290 lane closures affecting Cy-Fair drivers this weekend, May 11-13

TxDOT has scheduled several lane closures along Hwy. 290 this weekend in Cy-Fair.

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures scheduled along Hwy. 290 this weekend. Visit www.my290.com for up-to-date information.



Freeway closures
Hwy. 290 eastbound from the Grand Parkway to Mason Road

  • Total closure from 7 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 12.

  • Drivers can detour to the Mason Road exit and re-enter the mainlanes after Mason Road.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Fairfield Place to the Grand Parkway

  • Total closure from 1-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.

  • Drivers can detour to the Fairfield Place Drive exit and take the next entrance ramp.


Hwy. 290 westbound at Jones Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Saturday, May 12, to 9 a.m. Sunday, May 13.

  • Drivers can detour to the Jones Road exit and re-enter the mainlanes after Jones Road.


NW Station Park & Ride T-ramp northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure until 3 p.m. Monday, July 23.

  • Drivers can detour to the W. Little York Park & Ride for access to and from the HOV lane.


Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Fairbanks N. Houston Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 14.

  • Drivers can detour to the eastbound frontage road, turn right on Guhn Road, left on Pinemont Drive, left on Hollister Road and right on the eastbound frontage road to enter the mainlanes.


Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to West/Eldridge Parkway

  • Total closure until 5 a.m. Friday, May 25.

  • Drivers can detour to the next exit ramp.


Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice. 


Hwy. 290 eastbound at Tidwell Road

  • Two outside lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 14.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Bingle Road to Pinemont Drive

One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday, May 12, to 5 a.m. Sunday, May 13.

Hwy. 290 westbound from 34th Street to Pinemont Drive

One inside lane will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Saturday, May 12.





Frontage road closures
Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from west of Skinner Road to Skinner Road

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, May 18.

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Skinner Road to west of Skinner Road

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Village Drive to Jones Road

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Wednesday, May 16.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Jersey Drive to Village Drive

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Saturday, May 12.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road to Mueschke Road

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Huffmeister Road to Telge Road

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13. 


Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road at Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 14. 


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road at Huffmeister Road

  • One U-turn lane will be closed through 5 a.m. Monday, May 14.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Mueschke Road to Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from east of Mason Road to Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed until further notice.

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 14.
