The Woodlands has a variety of events happening this weekend. Here are a few to consider adding to your calendar.


Jan. 19: Montgomery County Judge candidate forum
The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum for the race for Montgomery County judge. All three filed candidates for Montgomery County Judge—Craig Doyal, Mark Keough and Jay Stittleburg—have confirmed attendance at this time. 8-9:15 a.m. Free. Jan. 19: Gorilla Hole
Children can play fun gym games and buy pizza, soda and candy during this Gorilla Hole event. The theme for Friday's event is " ‘90's Night." 7-9:45 p.m. $7 per person. The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands. www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov





Jan. 20: Arbor Day in The Woodlands
This Arbor Day celebration in The Woodlands will feature free rides, a rock wall, a petting zoo, refreshments and thousands of free tree seedlings in nine varieties. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. Jan. 20: Acumen Wine Tasting
Kirby's Prime Steakhouse will host a wine tasting this weekend and feature wines from Acumen Wine Company. The tastings will be held in the main bar area and with complimentary hors d'oeuvres. 5-7 p.m. $25 per guest. Jan. 20: Creekside Park Winter Festival and Chili Cook-Off
