Pearland and Friendswood residents have options for recycling their Christmas trees.

When the holidays are over, many are left unsure of what to do with their Christmas tree. In Friendswood, trees will be collected with normal trash pickup. Trees must be less than 5 feet tall. In Pearland, residents have three different options for disposing of their trees.

Green Waste Day
Trees can be left out on the curb on Green Waste Day and will be picked up.

In Pearland, you must live in a single family home and within the city limits.

Drop off the tree at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center
Christmas trees can be dropped off at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center, located at 5800 Magnolia Drive, Pearland, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday or on Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Trees will be accepted Dec. 27-Jan. 12.

Drop off the tree at the Brazoria County Precinct 2 Work Yard
Pearland residents can also drop trees off at the Brazoria County Precinct 2 Work Yard, located at 7315 Corporate Drive, Manvel, during hours of operation, 7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Trees dropped off at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center or the Brazoria County Precinct 2 Work Yard will be used for the Dunes Day Project to rebuild Brazoria County's sand dunes.
