8 Hwy. 290 lane closures to note in Cy-Fair this weekend, Dec. 8-10

TxDOT has scheduled several lane closures along Hwy. 290 this weekend in Cy-Fair.

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures along Hwy. 290 this weekend:

Freeway closures
Hwy. 290 westbound from West Road to North Eldridge Parkway

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road and re-enter to mainlanes after North Eldridge Parkway. Police will be at Jones Road, West Road and North Eldridge Parkway to direct traffic.

  • Once the bridge deck work is complete, the two left mainlanes will reopen, and the right lane will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Grand Parkway to Mueschke Road

  • One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Badtke Road to Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed night from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Hwy. 6/FM 1960

  • Total closure until further notice.

Frontage road closures
Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Jersey Drive to Jones Road

  • Two outside lanes will be closed until 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road at Gessner Road

  • One outside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Street closures
North Eldridge Parkway northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road and U-turn.
