Council meetings, tree lighting ceremony: 4 things to know in Sugar Land and Missouri City this week, Nov. 6-10

Several local entities will meet throughout Fort Bend County this week, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science-Sugar Land will host a tree lighting ceremony.


1.) Nov. 6: Fort Bend ISD meeting
The Fort Bend ISD board of trustees meets at 6 p.m. Monday at Barrington Place Elementary Library, 2100 Squire Dobbins Drive, Sugar Land. The board will provide an update on the reappraisal of property damaged by Hurricane Harvey. View the entire agenda here.





2.) Nov. 6: Missouri City City Council meeting
Missouri City City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at 1522 Texas Parkway, Missouri City. A public hearing will be held regarding an ordinance continuing the rules and regulations pertaining to the establishment of a curfew for minors. To see the full agenda, click here.





3.) Nov. 7: Sugar Land City Council meeting
Sugar Land City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2700 Town Center Blvd., Sugar Land. Council members will review and discuss service levels to be provided to the Greatwood and New Territory communities, which will be annexed into Sugar Land Dec. 12. To view the full agenda, click here.





4.) Nov. 10: Tree lighting ceremony
The Houston Museum of Natural Science-Sugar Land, 13016 University Blvd., Sugar Land, hosts a tree lighting ceremony at 10 a.m. FBISD Superintendent Charles Dupre, along with his wife Seeja, will light the tree to kick off the celebration. Find more information, click here.
