Here's what Magnolia and Tomball residents should know this week, including new business openings and public forums.


1. Oct. 9
Magnolia ISD will hold a regular school board meeting at 6:30 p.m. at 31141 Nichols Sawmill, Magnolia. View the agenda here





2. Oct. 9-10
The Tomball ISD board of trustees will meet for a workshop at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9. A regular board meeting follows at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10. Owner Elias Deanda opens Mandi Cocina Mexicana at  24179 Hwy. 249, Tomball, on Wednesday. The restaurant serves authentic mexican food with traditional ingredients and a contemporary twist.
