Things to do in Gilbert March 7-9


The weather has heated up this week, but expect another cooldown for the weekend. Here’s a few things to do while it’s still nice out.

March 7
Learn about landscaping

Gilbert holds residential landscape workshops each Thursday this month. The March 7 topic is sprinkler design and installation. Coming later this month: ABCs of watering; irrigation maintenance; and maximizing your system. Free but registration required. Southeast Valley Regional Library, 775 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert.

March 9
See color guards compete

The Phoenix Guard Regional is a color guard competition hosted by WGI Sport of the Arts. That group also puts on competitions for percussion and wind groups. 9 a.m.-10 p.m. $12-$20. Mesquite High School, 500 S. McQueen Road, Gilbert. 602-672-5777.
