Plan ahead for these Hwy. 249, Baker Drive, FM 1774 lane closures Aug. 3-5

Several lane closures are on the books for Aug. 3-5 in Tomball and Magnolia.

The Texas Department of Transportation and Houston TranStar database have announced lane closures beginning Saturday, Aug. 3 in Tomball and Magnolia.


Hwy. 249

  • One alternating lane of the frontage road both northbound and southbound between FM 2920 and Spring Creek is closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

  • One alternating lane of the northbound frontage road will be closed between FM 2920 and Spring Creek from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Monday, Aug. 5, to Saturday, Aug. 10.

  • One alternating lane of the southbound frontage road will be closed between Spring Creek and FM 2920 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Monday, Aug. 5, to Saturday, Aug. 10.







Baker Drive

  • There will be a total closure of Baker Drive eastbound and westbound at Hwy. 249 from noon to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. Eastbound drivers from Lone Star College-Tomball can detour by turning right on the southbound Hwy. 249 frontage road and making a U-turn at Brown Road to travel northbound on Hwy. 249 to Baker Drive. Westbound drivers can turn right on the northbound Hwy. 249 frontage road and make a U-turn at Zion Road to continue southbound on Hwy. 249 and right onto Baker Drive.







FM 1774

  • One alternating lane northbound and southbound is closed between Nichols Sawmill Road and FM 1486 in Magnolia from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

  • One inside lane westbound on FM 1774 is closed between FM 1486 and FM 1488 in Magnolia from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

  • One alternating lane northbound and southbound is closed between FM 1486 and Mill Creek Drive in Todd Mission from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Monday, Aug. 5, to Saturday, Aug. 10.
