4 ongoing road projects to follow in Tomball, Magnolia

Here's the latest on four road projects that have been ongoing for sometime in Tomball and Magnolia.

FM 1774

1. The Texas Department of Transportation is working to widen
2.8 miles of FM 1774 between West Lost Creek Boulevard and FM 149 in Pinehurst from two to four lanes with a center turn lane. The $18.5 million project is more than 60 percent complete.

Estimated timeline: July 2016-third quarter 2018

FM 1488 at FM 149
2. Construction continues on the FM 1488 overpass at FM 149 to provide drivers direct access across FM 149 and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Magnolia. The $28.5 million project is more than 90 percent complete as of early May.

Estimated timeline:  December 2015-third quarter 2018

Holderrieth Road
3. The Harris County Precinct 4 project extends Holderrieth Road as a new four-lane concrete roadway between Hwy. 249 and Calvert Road. Unitas Construction is constructing the $6 million project.

Estimated timeline: January-November 2018

Cypress Rosehill Road
4. The $15 million project by Harris County Precinct 3 widens Cypress Rosehill Road to four lanes from the Grand Parkway north to Seidel Cemetery Road. Construction began in September and December on the northern and southern parts, respectively.

Estimated timeline: September 2017-fourth quarter 2018 (Phase 1), December 2017-third quarter 2018 (Phase 2)
