When is the first day of school?

The first day of school is Aug. 14 for Magnolia ISD students and Aug. 20 for Tomball ISD students.

Summer break is winding down for students in Tomball and Magnolia. Here are important dates to know for students attending Tomball and Magnolia ISDs and Lone Star College-Tomball this fall.



Magnolia ISD
Aug. 14 is the first day of school for students in Magnolia ISD. MISD staff returns for professional development Aug. 5, according to the district calendar.

New student registration will be held July 31 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Aug. 1 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Magnolia and Magnolia West high schools. Families are asked to register their student(s) at the high school in their campus feeder pattern.

Tomball ISD
Aug. 20 is the first day of school for students in Tomball ISD. Staff returns Aug. 6, according to the district's instructional calendar.

TISD hosts a Family Enrollment Night from 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1 at Tomball and Willow Wood junior high schools for new families in the district. Parents or guardians must first complete an online enrollment application before attending the event or complete the online application during the event. Learn more about the event here.

Lone Star College-Tomball
