The Harris County Flood Control District holds a community engagement meeting Wednesday to gather public feedback on flood control projects within the Willow Creek watershed, which runs through the Greater Tomball area. The HCFCD is hosting a series of meetings across Harris County to gather feedback for a list of proposed projects to be included in a $2.5 billion bond referendum that will be put to voters Aug. 25. The Tomball Depot celebrates its grand reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, July 20, before opening to the public on Saturday, July 21. The depot will be open on weekends. The railroad museum includes Z-scale and O-scale model railways as well as a Speeder Maintenance Shed housing memorabilia from the mid-1950s, and The Walden Waiting Room, which includes a gallery of railroad illustrations.
