March 9-11: The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green

Houston’s first outdoor roller rink returns for a second season with a new and improved skating surface, colorful lighting and fun weekly programming. 5-9 p.m. (Friday), 11 a.m.-11 p.m. (Saturday), 11 a.m.-9 p.m. (Sunday). $8 per person, $4 for skate rental. March 10: Cody Johnson at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

In addition to livestock shows, rodeo events, carnival rides and a plethora of fried food, Houstonians can attend a live performance from Cody Johnson this weekend at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Johnson’s first  album, “Cowboy Like Me,” reached the top 10 on Billboard’s country albums chart. March 11: Spring Break Down Your Yoga

March 11: Sushi rolling class

Uchi, a sushi restaurant in Houston, will host a sushi rolling class where participants will learn the process and evolution of creating a sushi roll. Each guest will have the opportunity to learn from two sushi chefs about the process and technique used when crafting rolls.
