There are a variety of events happening this weekend in The Woodlands. Here are a few to consider adding to your calendar.

1. March 2: Gorilla Hole

Gorilla Hole
Children can play fun gym games and buy pizza, soda and candy during this Gorilla Hole event. The theme for Friday’s event is ”Pajama Party.” 7-9:45 p.m. $7 per person. The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands. www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov

2. March 3: Waterway Nights

Waterway Nights is a weekly event in The Woodlands during the spring and summer months. This weekend, Sugar Joiko will perform a variety of pop music at the amphitheater in Waterway Square. Visitors and residents can bring their own chairs or sit in the grass to enjoy the show. 6-8 p.m. Free. 3. March 2-3: The Woodlands Marathon

The Woodlands Marathon is a qualifier for The Boston Marathon. Runners will participate in the full or half-marathon Saturday morning, and welcome events will take place throughout the day Friday. Registration and packet pickup is from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. A course overview with the race director will be open to participants until 11:30 a.m. Friday. 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday. Click here to view lane closures. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. (Fri.). 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Sat.). 4. March 4: Concert in the Park

The Woodlands Township hosts Led Zeppelin tribute band Black Dog beginning at 5:30 p.m. Blankets, coolers, lawn chairs and pets are permitted. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Free. Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands. www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov

5. March 4: The Woodlands Farmers Market

Hosted by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association, this weekly event hosts more than 40 vendors offering a variety of locally grown products, handmade goods and unique products. Proceeds from the market benefit GMVA’s philanthropic programs, which include Good Citizen Awards, college scholarships and Conroe ISD schools. 8 a.m.-noon. Free.
