Between city candidate forums and The Woodlands Township meeting, here are a few things residents of The Woodlands area should keep in mind this week, April 16-20.
1. Oak Ridge North and Shenandoah candidate forums held this week
The May 5 city council elections for Oak Ridge North and Shenandoah are fast approaching.

Oak Ridge North Mayor and Place 3 Candidate Forum

2. The Woodlands Township board of directors will meet Thursday, April 19
The Woodlands Township board of directors meeting schedule consists of one board meeting, usually held at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month, and one board meeting, usually held at 6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month. Meetings are open to the public. Thursday’s meeting will consist of awarding a bid for the 2018 pathway stencils and crosswalk project, a briefing of 2018 Woodlands Marathon and discussing the repair of the fountains at Waterway Square. 3. Creekside Park Unplugged features live music April 18
Free live music and entertainment will be featured at the Creekside Park Unplugged concert series. JP & Phillip will perform classic rock, soul and country favorites. 4. The Glade Cultural Center celebrates grand opening this Friday, April 20
Glad Cultural Center will celebrate its grand opening April 20. The new center is a project by the Glade Arts Foundation and will be the new home to Glade Gallery, owned by Dragos Tapu. During the grand opening event, The Glade Arts Foundation will unveil exhibits by artist David Adickes. 6:30-10:30 p.m. Free.
