Work on target practice with a gun or arrow at Saddle River Range, known for its firearms and archery range. The 20-lane, 25-yard archery range is open to the public every day along with the gun range. Friday is Date Night from 4 p.m. to close, with two-for-one range fees.

Go hiking in W.G. Jones State Forest
This 1,722-acre forest was acquired in 1926 by the Texas A&M Forest Service. Visitors today can enjoy two small lakes with limited fishing and picnic options and nearly 15 miles of trails and pathways for horseback riding, outdoor exercise and dog walking.
