Several events take place this weekend, including chances for residents to get engaged within their cities with Sugar Land’s 12 Days of Annexation and Missouri City’s Snowfest Parade.

Snowfest Festival
This annual holiday tradition takes place at Missouri City City Hall, featuring the tree lighting ceremony, fun activities, fireworks, and photos with Santa. Holiday Concert

12 Days of Annexation
Sugar Land, Greatwood, and New Territory residents may visit predetermined locations throughout the city for a chance to win tickets to see the Houston Ballet perform The Nutcracker at the Smart Financial Centre. Snowfest Shuffle
People may participate in the annual 1.25-mile run, beginning at the Missouri City Recreation and Tennis Center and ending at the city’s public safety headquarters. In lieu of a registration fee, runners are to bring an unwrapped toy for the Blue Santa Toy Drive. Snowfest Parade
Festivities continue as the parade of holiday-themed floats begins its two-mile procession along Cartwright Road, ending at the Texas Parkway intersection. Roads will close at 7:30 a.m. surrounding the parade route. 9 a.m. Intersection of Cartwright Road and FM 1092. www.missouricitytx.gov

Cookies with Santa
Families may visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Houston Museum of Natural Science-Sugar Land, enjoying fun holiday crafts and milk and cookies.
