Cooking Up A Cure

“School of Rock The Musical”

107th Celebration of Mardi Gras Galveston

Enjoy parades, live music and balcony parties to kick off the annual Galveston Mardi Gras festivities. 5 p.m. $16. Activities will take place in Galveston’s historic downtown from 20th Street to 25th Street and from Harborside Drive to Mechanic Street. www.mardigrasgalveston.com 

Hello, Trees!

This art installation is inspired by the inaudible connections existing in nature. Visitors can speak into a microphone and watch their words light up the arches throughout the park.
