Early voting continues this week in Klein ISD for a tax ratification election, and Spring ISD is gearing up for graduation exercises Saturday. Here is what residents of Spring and Klein need to know during the week of June 4.

1. Vote early in the Klein ISD tax ratification election, June 4-9

Early voting in the Klein ISD tax ratification election continues this week. Voters will decide whether to approve a 9 cent increase in the maintenance and operations tax rate above the $1.04 per $100 valuation. Voting continues this week from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 4-8 and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. June 9 at the following locations: Klein ISD Multipurpose Center, 7500 FM 2920, Spring; Klein Forest High School, 11400 Misty Valley, Houston; Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Road, Houston. 2. Community meeting tackles flooding topics, June 5

Cypress Creek Association presents a public education meeting on flooding at Northgate Country Club, 17110 Northgate Forest Drive, Houston, at 6:30 p.m. The discussion will address the issue of flooding in the Cypress Creek area and what residents and the government can do to address it.

3. Learn Thai fruit carving, June 7

4. Spring ISD plans graduation ceremonies for seniors, June 9

Spring ISD graduation ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. for Dekaney, Spring and Westfield high schools as well as Spring Early College Academy. Each ceremony is two hours long. The graduations are held at 8877 Barker Cypress, Cypress. The event can be viewed at www.springisd.org/graduation and on the district’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/springisdweb.
