With Veteran’s Day celebrations, fall festivals and holiday markets planned throughout the weekend, there are plenty of fun events to check out around town.

  1. Enjoy live music at the Dry Creek Social Club
    Nov. 10

Line Shack Six will perform at the Dry Creek Social Club for its Fall Concert Series from 8 p.m.-midnight on Friday, Nov. 10. Line Shack Six is a string band originally from Houston. 21 and up. 3333 F.M. 359, Richmond. 832-471-6668.

2. Attend Harvest Green’s Fall Harvest Fest
Nov. 11

Johnson Development’s master-planned community Harvest Green will host Harvest Fest from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can browse the pumpkin patch, climb a rock wall or shop at the farmer’s market. Other events include a pie eating contest, DJ, animal adoptions, petting zoo, bouncy houses, face painters, harvest games and more. 3. Honor veterans on Veterans Day with county and state elected officials
Nov. 11

The Fort Bend County Republican Party invites county and Richmond residents to its first annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at Safari Texas Ranch in Richmond. Officials presenting at the ceremony will honor several veterans and include U.S. Rep. Pete Olson, R-Sugar Land, Fort Bend County Judge Robert Hebert and George P. 4. Attend a Single’s Hoedown at George Ranch Historical Park
Nov. 11

The Porch Live, Summit Young Singles and Houston’s First Baptist Church will host the 20th annual “Under the Texas Sky Hoedown” 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov 11 at the George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond. Local young single adults are invited to enjoy barbecue and dancing at the park as well as other events that include a baking contest, games, square dancing and watching the Texas A&M vs New Mexico State football game. 5. Celebrate Veterans Day at Braman Winery and Brewery
Nov. 11

Braman Winey and Brewery is hosting a Veteran’s Day celebration with music, beer and wine from noon-11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. Live performances start with Heyl Music at 3 p.m. followed by Big Richard on the Biergarten Stage at 7 p.m. Veterans, active duty military and first responders can enjoy 10 percent off all beer and wine purchases. 6. Visit the Mistletoe Market
Nov. 12

The Women of Mercy at St. Faustina Catholic Church are hosting their third annual Mistletoe Market at Westlake Prep Lutheran Academy in Richmond from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12. The market will offer residents the chance to get an early jump on Christmas shopping and will feature multiple vendors selling holiday gifts, clothing, accessories, jewelry, home goods and more.
