From ComicCon for teens to a country birthday bash to farmers markets to a community cleanup event, this weekend in Pearland and Friendswood has something for everyone.

February 2

Tony Booth Birthday Bash
Come and listen to live country music at Billy’s Hall to celebrate country singer Tony Booth’s birthday. Performers include Tony Booth, Randy Lindley, Amber Digby, Doug Boggs, Lorraine Chavana, Dana Rowan, Mary Dooley, Shalane and The Texas Express Band. Barbecue sandwiches will be sold both nights.

KPB cleanup event
Volunteers may join environmental nonprofit organization Keep Pearland Beautiful for its first quarter community cleanup event to pick up litter. Breakfast is provided at the Lone Star Pavilion of Centennial Park, where KPB organizers hand out gloves and bags for cleanup efforts. Volunteers may sign up online.

7:30 a.m.

Friendswood Farmers Market
The Friendswood market offers fresh produce as well as artisan breads, local honey, baked goods and handcrafted products. The farmers market is held on the first Saturday of the month.

Teen Comic Convention
BrazCon Teen Comic Convention & Geekfest will feature a full day of sessions, workshops, gaming, crafting, cosplay, anime and more. Activities will be based on Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Percy Jackson, Star Trek and others. Featured guests include Mark Kistler and Mark Shepherd, and various authors, illustrators and gamers. This event is for children ages 10-18, however all ages are welcome to attend. Cosplay and costume contests begin at 1 p.m. Prop weapons will be prohibited. Food trucks and vendors will be present, and many accept cash only.
