Incumbent John Whitmire wins the Democratic nomination for state senator District 15

Incumbent John Whitmire won the race for the Democratic nomination for state senator District 15, with all precincts reported. Whitmire received 27,220 votes, or 74.91 percent of the votes. Whitmire could not be reached for comment on election night.

Following Whitmire, Damian Lacroix received 6,506 votes, or 17.91 percent of the votes, and Hank Segelke received 2,609 votes, or 7.18 percent of the votes.

As the winner of the Democratic nomination, Whitmire will face Randy Orr, who ran for the Republican nomination unopposed, in the November general election.

Following Whitmire, Damian Lacroix is in second after receiving 4,880 votes, or 17.47 percent of the votes, and Hank Segelke is in third after receiving 1,961 votes, or 7.02 percent of the votes.

The winner of the Democratic nomination will face Randy Orr, who is running for the Republican nomination unopposed, in the November general election.
