The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures planned along Hwy. 290 and at Hwy. 6 this weekend. For the most up-to-date information, visit www.my290.com.



Top closures
Hwy. 6 northbound from north of Copper Grove Blvd. to Hwy. 290
• Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.
• Hwy. 290 eastbound detour: Stay on Hwy. 6 northbound to the Hwy. 290 eastbound connector ramp.
• FM 1960 northbound detour: Exit to the northbound frontage road to Hempstead Road and turn right onto the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road. U-turn at N. Eldridge Parkway back to the Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road to FM 1960.





Freeway closures
Hwy. 290 westbound from Telge Road to Spring Cypress Road
• Three alternate lanes will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, through 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, and from 8 p.m. Saturday through 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.

Hwy. 290 westbound from 34th Street to Pinemont Drive
• Three inside lanes will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Monday, Sept. 9.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from 34th Street to Loop 610 W.
• Two outside lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.

Hwy. 290 eastbound exit ramp to the N. Eldridge Parkway/West Road exit
• Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.

Hwy. 290 eastbound connector ramp to Loop 610 S.
• Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.

Hwy. 290 eastbound exit ramp to the I-10 direct connector
• Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.

Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from 34th Street
• Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Tidwell Road
• Total closure until 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20.

Hwy. 290 eastbound exit ramp to Mangum Road/Dacoma Street
• Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.





Frontage road closures
Hwy. 6 northbound frontage road at Jackrabbit Road
• Total closure from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, through noon Saturday, Sept. 7.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road at FM 1960/Hwy. 6 entrance ramp
• Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road from 34th Street to Pinemont Drive
• One alternate lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 8.





Street closures
Jackrabbit Road westbound at Hwy. 6
• Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.
• Hwy. 6 southbound detour: Head east on Jackrabbit Road to West Road and turn right on West Road to Hwy. 6.
• FM 1960 detour: Head west on Jackrabbit Road to the Hwy. 6 northbound frontage road toward Hempstead Road. Turn right on Hempstead Road to the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at N. Eldridge Parkway.
