9 Hwy. 290 lane closures affecting Cy-Fair drivers this weekend, March 8-10

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures planned along Hwy. 290 in the Cy-Fair area this weekend. For the most up-to-date information, visit www.my290.com.

Freeway closures

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Hwy. 6/FM 1960 to N. Eldridge Parkway
• One outside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March, 9, and Sunday, March 10.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Mueschke Road
• Total closure until 3 p.m. Friday, May 17.

Hwy. 6 northbound exit ramp to Jackrabbit Road/Hempstead Road
• Total closure until 5 p.m. Sunday, March 31.
• Drivers should detour along Hwy. 6 northbound to the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road, turn right on the eastbound frontage road to North Eldridge Parkway, turn right on Eldridge to West Road and turn right on West to Jackrabbit.

Hwy. 6 northbound from Copper Grove Boulevard to Hempstead Road
• One outside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10.

Frontage road closures

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from east of Barker Cypress Road to the Barker Cypress entrance ramp
• One inside lane will be closed until 5 p.m. Sunday, March 31.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road at Huffmeister Road
• One U-turn lane will be closed until 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 19.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road from Pinemont Drive to West Little York Road
• One alternate lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Wednesday, May 1.
• One alternate lane will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through Wednesday, May 1.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Gessner Road, Fairbanks N. Houston Road, Tidwell Road and Hollister Street
• U-turn lanes will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Wednesday, May 1.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from 43rd Street to Antoine Drive exit ramp
• One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Sunday, March 10.
