The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures along Hwy. 290 in the Cy-Fair area this weekend. For the most up-to-date information, visit www.my290.com.



Freeway closures
Loop 610 northbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290

  • Total closure nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through Saturday, Sept. 8.

  • Drivers can U-turn at Ella Blvd. to the westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes and exit to Hwy. 290.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from W. Little York Road to Hollister Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.

  • Drivers can detour to the FM 529 exit, continue on the eastbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Hollister Road.


Hwy. 6 northbound under Hwy. 290

  • Total closure nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Sunday, Sept. 9.

  • Drivers can head east on the eastbound frontage road to N. Eldridge Parkway and U-turn back to Hwy. 6/FM 1960.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from Hwy. 6/FM 1960 to FM 529

  • Two inside lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10.


Beltway 8 W. northbound and southbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290 westbound

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10.

  • Northbound drivers can detour to the W. Little York Road exit, continue on the northbound frontage road, turn left on the Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after FM 529.

  • Southbound drivers can detour to the West Road exit, continue on the southbound frontage road, turn right on the Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after FM 529. 


Beltway 8 W. northbound and southbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290 eastbound

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.

  • Northbound drivers can detour to the W. Little York Road exit, continue on the northbound frontage road, turn right on the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Hollister Road.

  • Southbound drivers can detour to the West Road exit, continue on the southbound frontage road, turn left on the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Hollister Road. 


Hwy. 290 westbound from Bingle Road to FM 529

  • Total closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10.

  • Drivers can detour to the Bingle Road exit, continue on the westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after FM 529.


Hwy. 290 eastbound connector ramp to I-10

  • Total closure on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Drivers can detour to Loop 610 southbound, exit at Woodway/Memorial and U-turn to I-10 westbound or eastbound.


Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Jones Road

  • Total closure until further notice.







Frontage road closures
Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from West Road to North Eldridge Parkway

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 14.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Jersey Drive to Jones Road

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 14.


Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from FM 529 to Beltway 8

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 14.


Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road at Mason Road

  • One inside lane will be closed until 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.


Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Mason Road

  • One U-turn lane will be closed until 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
