The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures in the Cy-Fair area this weekend. For the most up-to-date information, visit www.my290.com.

Freeway closures
Hwy. 290 eastbound main lanes from FM 529 to West Little York Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6.

  • Drivers can detour to the eastbound collector-distributor lanes and enter main lanes at West Little York.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Gessner Road to Fairbanks N. Houston Road

  • One outside lane will be closed until 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

I-10 director connector ramp to Hwy. 290 westbound

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

  • Drivers can detour to Loop 610 eastbound, exit at Ella Blvd. and U-turn to Loop 610 westbound to enter Hwy. 290 main lanes.

Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Jones Road

  • Total closure until further notice.

Frontage road closures
Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road at West Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m.  Monday, Aug. 6.

  • Drivers can detour right on West Road and left on Castlebridge and left on North Eldridge Parkway to get back to the westbound frontage road.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from the Telge Road entrance ramp to Huffmeister Road

  • One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from east of Mason Road to Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed until further notice.

Street closures
Huffmeister Road northbound and southbound under Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6.

  • Southbound drivers should detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road and U-turn at Telge Road. Northbound drivers should detour to FM 1960 and U-turn at the intersection.

FM 1960 northbound from Wortham Blvd. to N. Eldridge Parkway

  • One outside lane will be closed until 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.

Hempstead Road eastbound from Huffmeister Road to east of Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

  • Drivers can detour northbound on Huffmeister Road to the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road, turn right to Hwy. 6 and turn right on the Hwy. 6 southbound frontage road to Hempstead Road.
