Several closures are scheduled along Hwy. 290 this weekend in Cy-Fair.

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures for the Cy-Fair area this weekend. For a comprehensive list of lane closures, visit Houston TranStar.



Freeway closures
Beltway 8 eastbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.

  • Southbound drivers can exit at West Road, continue on the southbound frontage road, turn left on the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Gessner Road.

  • Northbound drivers can exit at W. Little York Road, continue on the northbound frontage road, turn right on the Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Gessner Road.


Hwy. 290 eastbound at Antoine Drive

  • Total closures from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.

  • Two inside lanes will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26.


Hwy. 290 westbound at Antoine Drive

  • Two inside lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from Langfield Road to Pinemont Drive

  • Two outside lanes will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from Badtke Road to Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24.


Hwy. 290 eastbound exit ramp to Mason Road

  • Total closure from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24.

  • Drivers can detour to the Becker Road exit ramp.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from South Fork Cole Creek to Fairbanks North Houston Road

  • One outside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from Senate Avenue to Gessner Road

  • Two outside lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.


Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Hwy. 6/FM 1960

  • Total closure until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to West Road/N. Eldridge Parkway

  • Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, April 30.


Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from FM 529

  • Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, April 2.


Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Badtke Road

  • Total closure until 5 a.m. Friday, March 2.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Mason Road to Badtke Road

  • Two outside lanes will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through Tuesday, Feb. 27.







Frontage road closures
Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from Rothway Street to Fairbanks North Houston Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26.

  • Drivers can detour right on Rothway Street, left on Stonington Street, left on Fairbanks North Houston to the eastbound frontage road.


Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from W. Little York Road to Gessner Road

  • One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.







Street closures
Fairbanks North Houston Road northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26.

  • Drivers can detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road and U-Turn.


Gessner Road northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, 23, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.

  • Northbound drivers can detour to the frontage road and U-turn at W. Tidwell Road.

  • Southbound drivers can detour to the frontage road at U-turn at W. Little York Road.


Hempstead Road eastbound and westbound at Hwy. 6

  • Total closure until 5 p.m. Monday, April 30.

  • Northbound drivers can continue on Hwy. 6 to the business entrance or continue on Hwy. 6 and turn right on Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road.

  • Eastbound drivers can turn left on Hwy. 6 to the business entrance or continue on Hwy. 6 and turn right on Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road.
