20 Hwy. 290 lane closures to know in Cy-Fair this weekend, Feb. 9-11

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures scheduled in Cy-Fair this weekend. For a comprehensive list of lane closures, go here.

Freeway closures

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Badtke to Mason roads

  • One alternate lane will be closed from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Saturday, Feb. 10.

Hwy. 290 eastbound connector ramp to Beltway 8

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
  • Drivers can detour to the FM 529 exit and continue on the eastbound frontage road. Southbound drivers will turn right on the southbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after W. Little York Road. Northbound drivers will turn left on the northbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Philippine Street.

Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Gessner Road

  • Total closure nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Mason Road to Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road

  • Two alternate lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.

Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Mason Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.

Hwy. 290 eastbound exit ramp to Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.

Hwy. 290 westbound from Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road to the Grand Parkway

  • Two alternate lanes will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.-8 a.m. from Friday, Feb. 9, to Sunday, Feb. 11.

Hwy. 290 eastbound entrance ramp from Fairbanks North Houston Road

  • Total closure from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Fairbanks North Houston Road

  • Total closure from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. 

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from FM 529

  • Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, April 2. 

Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to West Road/N. Eldridge Parkway

  • Total closure until 5 a.m. Monday, April 30.

Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Huffmeister Road

  • Total closure until further notice.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Hwy. 6/FM 1960

  • Total closure until further notice.

Frontage road closures

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Huffmeister Road to Telge Road

  • One outside lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, and Sunday, Feb. 11.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Hwy. 6/FM 1960 to Cliff Park Drive

  • One inside lane will be from 7 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from W. Little York Road to Gessner Road

  • One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from Rothway Street to Fairbanks North Houston Road

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
  • Drivers can detour right on Rothway Street, left on Stonington Street and left on Fairbanks North Houston to the frontage road.

Street closures

Fairbanks North Houston Road northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
  • Drivers can detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road and U-turn.

Gessner Road northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
  • Drivers can detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road and U-turn.

Hempstead Road eastbound and westbound at Hwy. 6

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, to 5 p.m. Monday, April 30.
  • Northbound drivers can continue on Hwy. 6 to the business entrance or continue on Hwy. 6 and turn right on Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road. Eastbound drivers can turn left on Hwy. 6 to the business entrance or continue on Hwy. 6 and turn right on Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road.
