June 11: Hope Disaster Recovery Fundraisers at Willie’s Grill and Icehouse
The nonprofit network of organizations is hosting a profit share with Willie’s Grill and Icehouse during which 15 percent of meal costs go to supporting homeowners rebuilding post-Hurricane Harvey. 4-10 p.m. Three locations are participating in the event include at 24236 Hwy. 290, Cypress, 7092 Hwy. 6, Houston, and 17492 Hwy. 290, Jersey Village. 832-463-7554
Residents in White Oak Bayou, Cypress Creek watersheds invited to give feedback on August flood bond
The Harris County Flood Control District is hosting public meetings in each of the county’s 23 watersheds to gather feedback on flood risk reduction measures before a bond referendum in August. Meetings in White Oak Bayou and Cypress Creek take place this week on June 12 and June 15, respectively. Both meetings run from 6-8 p.m. The White Oak Bayou meeting takes place at White Oak Conference Center, 7603 Antoine Drive, Houston. First Choice Collision hosts June 13 open house celebration

Cy-Fair ISD to adopt 2018-19 budget at June meeting
District officials anticipate increasing the starting teacher salary and providing salary increases for all classroom teachers despite facing a budget deficit. Playhouse 1960 debuts ‘Victor Victoria’ on June 15
The play, based on the film by Julie Andrews, is about gender perceptions and the battle of the sexes as Victoria looks for her big break as a singer. Performances take place at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through June 30, and one July 1 performance takes place at 3 p.m. $18 adults, $15 seniors, students, veterans.
