Hwy. 59/I-69 planning and environmental linkage study
The Texas Department of Transportation is in the midst of a multiyear planning and environmental linkage study of the Hwy. 59/I-69 corridor, also known as the Southwest Freeway, from Spur 527 to Beltway 8. The high-level study identifies problems, proposes solutions and develops a case for pursuing them, according to TxDOT. It will also identify environmental constraints and potential future projects. Once the study is completed in summer 2020, the process will continue with a separate in-depth environmental study.

Stella Link Road bridge construction
The Harris County Flood Control District is planning to begin construction on the portion of Stella Link Road that runs over Brays Bayou to compensate for the bayou’s widening as a part of the Brays Bayou Federal Flood Damage Reduction Project. Partial or full lane closures could be expected as a result of the construction.
Timeline: fall 2019-fall 2020
Cost: $7.89 million

Imperial and Mayfair streets and drainage project
The city of Bellaire has almost completed work on portions of Imperial Street and Mayfair Street. The construction of the two streets involves replacing the existing roadways, adding portions of sidewalks and adding underground drainage and detention storm sewer lines. The work is funded by the Bonds for Better Bellaire approved by voters in 2016.
Timeline: fall 2018-fall 2019
Cost: part of $4.8 million allocated for Imperial, Mayfair, Linden and Willow streets reconstruction

Woodshire north area drainage and pavement
The city of Houston is almost done with the construction of stormwater drainage, utility upgrades and pavement improvements to the streets in the Woodshire area. Construction of the first phase is 80% complete, according to the city of Houston. The phase covers the streets from Glenshire Drive to Breakwood Drive and Fordshire Drive to Bassoon Drive.
