2. Legacy Hall to open Wednesday

The highly anticipated massive food hall in Plano’s Legacy West, Legacy Hall at 7800 Windrose Ave., is expected to open Dec. 6.

A series of construction delays for the three-story food hall pushed back its original opening date, which was set for the end of October. Legacy Hall will include dining and drink options from more than 20 vendors, with selections from renowned Dallas chefs and local restaurants alike.

A separate grand-opening ceremony for Legacy Hall, which will debut its outdoor garden that doubles as a live-entertainment venue, is slated for sometime in spring 2018. http://legacyfoodhall.com

3. Application process for vacant Plano ISD trustee to be decided Thursday

Convening at a special called meeting, Plano ISD trustees will consider and possibly approve the application document for a now-vacant trustee seat. The meeting will take place Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the Plano ISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th St.

The vacancy comes after former trustee Greg Myer’s resignation was approved Nov. 28. In his resignation letter to board President Missy Bender, Myer said he was stepping down for “personal reasons.” Myer declined requests from Community Impact Newspaper for further comment.

The vacancy will be filled through an open application process that will be open to the public, Bender said at the Nov. 28 meeting.
