AARP volunteers will offer free tax assistance, the McKinney Boyd Broadway Broncos will perform a musical and a writer’s exchange will take place this weekend in McKinney.

1. Brew Haha held at Pacific Tradewinds Coffee Co.

2. AARP offers tax assistance

AARP volunteers will offer free tax assistance at the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library. Attendees should bring their Social Security Card, driver’s license, last year’s tax return and all tax documents from this year. Free. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library, 101 E. 3. McKinney Boyd presents ‘Anything Goes’

 

The Boyd Broadway Broncos will present a musical about S.S. American sailing between New York and England. The performance is made up of nearly 50 high school performers and a 20-piece student orchestra. $12 (students), $15 (general admission). 7 p.m. (Fri.-Sat.), 2 p.m. (Sat.). 4. Writer’s Exchange held at John and Judy Gay Library

Independent authors, published authors, people connected with writing and editing and those thinking about becoming a writer are welcome to attend this Writer’s Exchange.   1. Your comment about AARP taxes is essentially correct, but additional information is offered.
    We are sponsored by AARP Foundation. We also prepare taxes at the John and Judy Gay Library on Eldorado Mondays 10AM-2PM. We will be temporarily at Hall library on Monday 19, 26 Feb and Mar 5 due to elections being held in conference room where we prepare taxes. The link does contain the details I highlighted.

Cassidy graduated from the University of Kansas in 2016 with a degree in Journalism and a double minor in business and global studies.
