1. More than 150 people perform The Nutcracker
The Dallas Repertoire Ballet and students from Allen-based Academy of Dance Arts will perform “The Nutcracker” with a cast of more than 150 people. A sensory-friendly performance designed for children with sensory processing disorders will also take place Dec. 9. 7:30 p.m. (Dec. 8-9), 2 p.m. (Dec. 9-10). $22-$52 (depending on seat). 2. McKinney Community Center hosts book fair

3. Battle friends in a video game tournament

4. Breakfast with Santa Claus
Love Life Foundation invites residents to enjoy a free breakfast with Santa. Attendees can also pick up Angel Tree Angels to help children in need in Collin County. 8:30-10:30 a.m. The Sanctuary Music & Events, 6633 Virginia Parkway. More information can be found on the event’s Facebook page.

5. Medical City McKinney hosts hernia seminar

6. Adorn gingerbread houses for Habitat for Humanity
Funds from the 8th annual Gingerbread for Humanity event will benefit the North Collin County Habitat for Humanity. Attendees can purchase a gingerbread house kit, which includes an assembled house, candy and frosting, or guests can attend the event and have access to a candy buffet and unlimited frosting. 7. Pet photos with the Grinch

8. Rotary Club hosts 18th annual Parade of Lights
