From star gazing at Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area to a 5K race in Flower Mound, there are several family events happening this weekend.

Friday

Relay run commemorates veterans in Flower Mound
Throughout the day participants commemorate veterans and their service
by carrying an American ag on a route around town. The Veterans Day Relay Run ends with a post-event celebration at the Community Activity Center. 8 a.m. (run starts), 5 p.m. (post-run celebration). Free. 972-874-6279. www. flower-mound.com

Dorothy’s Dash
Walk or run a 5K commemorating former town of Flower Mound employee, Dorothy Walkup, who lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004. All proceeds benefit the North Texas Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis Society. Participants receive a commemorative T-shirt. 8:30 a.m.-noon. $20. 2701 W. Windsor Drive,

Stars on the Prairie
Trek to Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area’s prairie restoration area to view the wonders of the night sky. Emphasis is on viewing with naked-eyes and binoculars. This event is for ages 5 and up. If the sky is cloudy, a night hike takes place instead. Lewisville Civic Chorale’s Fall Concert
Conductor Lewis Worthington and the Chorale presents America’s Musical Landscape V. 3 p.m. $5 (students), $10 (senior citizens), $15 (adults), $30 (family). Two adult or senior tickets will admit a family of any size. Also, tickets may be purchased at a discount, in advance, from any chorus member. The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, 602 N.
