Christmas parade to be held in Flower Mound

The town’s 28th annual Christmas Parade’s theme is “Christmas Around the World.” The lighted floats travel down Spinks Road to Gerault Park in Flower Mound. At Gerault Park there is a tree-lighting ceremony with choir performances, pictures with Santa Claus, carriage rides, children’s activities, a petting zoo, vendors and food trucks. 6-9 p.m. Free. December 12
C&C Art helps guests to create art in Castle Hills

Guests email C&C Art, which is a mobile art studio, a photo of a pet or person to turn into pop art. Guests, with the help of professional artists, draw on a 16×20 canvas to create a painting. No experience is necessary. All supplies needed for the painting are provided.  Artists choose their own colors. 6:30-9:30 p.m. $75. T.B.D. Enjoy Christmas carols,  cabin on Lewisville Lake

Take a trip back to an 1870s Christmas with a tour of the historic Minor-Porter Log Cabin. Guests make a corn husk doll or an ornament to take home, create a hand-dipped candle, enjoy carols, sip hot cider by the campfire and more. Visitors can arrive at any time. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. Lewisville Civic Chorale sings Christmas songs

The performance includes Christmas songs, such as “Christmas Time is Here,” “The Christmas Song” and “The Christmas Waltz” as well as many Christmas carols. 7 p.m. (Sat., Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles St., Lewisville); 3 p.m. (Sun., Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, 602 N. Santa Claus visits Highland Village

Santa Claus, along with the Highland Village firefighters, tours the neighborhoods of Highland Village. Each day the of the tour the fire department posts a map on its Facebook page of the neighborhoods Santa is visiting.
