1. ‘Hamlet’ in Grapevine

Poor Yorick Productions company presents a production of William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” at Grapevine’s OhLook Performing Arts Center. Theater fans can find tickets available online. 7:30 p.m. (Fri.-Sat.), 2:30 p.m. (Sun.). OhLook Performing Arts Center, 1631 W. N.W. Hwy., Grapevine. 817-421-2825.


Saturday, Feb. 2

2. Celebrating history in Southlake

The Bob Jones Nature Center Organization kicks off Black History Month by presenting a lecture on the legacy of Bob Jones, a former slave and local historic figure. There will also be an interactive coffee-grinding station from which participants can take home freshly ground coffee beans. 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Free (members), $5 (nonmembers). 3. Lunar New Year celebration in Colleyville

NTA Taekwondo sponsors a Lunar New Year lion dance at Colleyville’s Tara Shopping Center. NTA Taekwondo is also offering a parents night out event at its studio nearby, where families can drop children off for the evening. 4. Gardening class in Grapevine

Marshall Grain Company in Grapevine hosts a class to teach participants how to properly grow plants from seeds. 5. Valentine preparations in Grapevine
