The beginning of December brings several holiday-themed events.

Friday, Nov. 30

1. Holiday celebration in Colleyville

Colleyville residents and visitors can see the annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony and choir performances by students. Other activities include carriage rides, photos with Santa and holiday market shopping with local vendors. 5-8 p.m. Free. Colleyville City Hall, 100 Main St., Colleyville. 817-503-1000.

Friday, Nov.30-Sunday, Dec. 2

2. Theatre performance in Grapevine

Runway Theatre presents Ken Ludwig’s “The Game’s Afoot (Or Holmes for the Holidays).” The play revolves around a star who assumes his stage persona, Sherlock Holmes. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday. $17-$20. Runway Theatre, 215 N. Dooley St., Grapevine. 817-488- 4842.

3. Breakfast with Santa in Southlake

Santa Claus visits The Marq Southlake, where he will be taking photos with families and hearing Christmas wishes while eating breakfast. Participants can register online for one of two time slots. 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. $15 per person. The Marq Southlake, 285 Shady Oaks Drive, Southlake. 817-748-8019.

Saturday, Dec. 1

4. Photos with Santa in Southlake

Southlake ACI Learning Center presents a holiday event for children living with autism spectrum disorders, who may find the typical “mall Santa” experience overwhelming or difficult to bear. Children can get their photos taken with Santa for free and enjoy apple cider, gluten-free cookies and craft activities. 5. Victorian Christmas in Grapevine

The Victorian Christmas Tour at Nash Farm takes visitors to the late 1800s, exploring a traditional Christmas at the farmhouse with cider and cookies. 3-6 p.m. $3 per person. Nash Farm, 626 Ball St., Grapevine. 817-410-3558.

Sunday, Dec. 2

6. “An Elvis Kind of Christmas” in Grapevine

Performer Kraig Parker pays tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll with a holiday-themed performance at the Palace Theatre. 4 p.m. $15-$40. Palace Theatre, 300 S. Main St., Grapevine. 817-410-3100.
