This weekend is packed with events as folks get ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Here are some things going on in the area:
1. Bob Jones Nature Center celebrates Black History Month
The Bob Jones Nature Center, together with the Southlake Public Library, will host a free come-and-go event Saturday. The day will feature: a guided hike at 10:30 a.m.; the story of Bob Jones at 12:30 p.m.; geocaching from 2-3 p.m.; an ongoing screening of the video “In Our Backyard: Black History in North Texas”; and suggested donations for the future designation of a historical marker.

2. GRACE Community Garden offers growing class
Guests to the GRACE Community Garden will learn how to grow vegetables and herbs in a container small enough to fit on their patios.

3. Marshall Grain offers gardening class
Marshall Grain Co. will host a gardening class titled “Crape Murder and Other Pruning Crimes.” The class will teach participants how to prune trees and bushes correctly without harming the plant.

4. Main Street Beauty Boutique hosts Sweetheart Spa Party

5. Messina Hof Grapevine Winery celebrates Valentine’s Day
A five-course, wine-paired dinner featuring live music and dancing will be held Saturday at Messina Hof Grapevine Winery.

6. Vetro Glassblowing Studio to host Hot Date Night event
Vetro Glassblowing Studio will host a Valentine’s experience featuring cocktails, sweet treats and hot molten glass. Guests can create their very own Valentine heart and flower with the assistance of professional glassblowers.

7. JudyPie’s to host Valentine Chocolate Class

8. Southlake Fit Body Bootcamp to host foam rolling demonstration
Southlake Fit Body Bootcamp will feature area doctors who will lead a demonstration in foam rolling. Guests will learn how foam rolling can increase flexibility, blood flow and circulation, while reducing injuries or pain.
9. Sweetheart Trail open in Grapevine
Participants can receive three wine tastings at each participating winery tasting room on the Sweetheart Trail, a souvenir wine glass and food samplings.
