Christmas is For Children
The annual toy drive, supported by the Southlake Fire and Police departments will continue to accept donations until Dec. 23. The organization seeks to fulfill a child’s Christmas wish list with something that they want, something that they need and something educational. Volunteers “sponsor” a child by shopping for items specified on the wish lists and delivering wrapped and tagged gifts to one of several prearranged drop-off sites the first week in December. The organization also sponsors an annual food drive from November through December.

Drop-off locations are the Southlake Department of Public Safety Headquarters, 600 State Street, Southlake, and DPS North, 100 East Dove Road. 817-421-6134. www.christmasisforchildren.com

The Container Store
Learn how to put together the perfect present this year, with gift wrap and bow demos at The Container Store. The store’s wrap experts will show guests how to pick the best wrap and gift totes, how to crease and fluff, and put a beautiful homemade bow on top of the fit.

Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Free. 1200 Main St., Southlake. 817-488-9955. www.containerstore.com
