Here are some events taking place in Grapevine and Southlake this Thanksgiving weekend.

Friday, Nov. 23

1. Photo opportunity with Santa offered at the mall

Children and their families can experience the joy of the holiday season with a visit to the Simon Santa Photo Experience at Grapevine Mills. Children can whisper wishes and capture photo memories with Santa.

Friday, Nov. 23

2. Get ready to shop on Black Friday

Some local stores, such as Grapevine’s British Emporium, are offering special discounts for Black Friday customers. The British Emporium is offering free goodie bags filled with British treats to the first 100 customers to spend $10 or more.

Friday, Nov. 23-Sunday, Nov. 25

3. Toys for Tots to collect donations

Over the weekend Altitude Trampoline Park attendees are encouraged to donate a toy to the Toys for Tots toy drive. Toys should be new and unwrapped and appropriate for children ages 2-12.

Friday, Nov. 23-Saturday, Nov. 24

4. Live music at Southlake’s Taverna Rossa 

Taverna Rossa in Southlake provides live music entertainment this weekend. Manny and the Gringoderos perform Friday, and the Wanda King Band performs Saturday. Guests can enjoy the restaurant’s pizza, pasta, craft beer and whiskey selections.

Saturday-Nov. 24

5. Goat yoga with classic rock

Grapevine On Tap is hosting a yoga session where people can exercise with goats while listening to music from Queen. Yogis should wear appropriate clothing and bring a mat, water bottle and towel. After yoga participants can enjoy a free beer and play with the animals. The event also benefits Here’s Your Reminder, an area nonprofit.
