1. Fashion event at The Marq in Southlake
Southlake Town Square presents a luncheon and fall fashion show featuring Southlake Town Square retailers including J. Crew, Banana Republic and Michael Kors. The event is hosted by television personality Melissa Rycroft and benefits local nonprofit The Gatehouse Grapevine, which provides services for women in need. Attendees can also enjoy pop-up shops, a fashion panel and luxury gift bags. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. $75. 2. Movie night in Colleyville
Families and neighbors can gather with lawn chairs, blankets and snacks at The Village at Colleyville for a movie night outdoors featuring the Pixar animated film "Coco." The story follows aspiring musician Miguel and his adventures as he challenges his family’s ban on music. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Free. 3. Grand opening in Southlake Town Square
Fashion boutique Scout & Molly’s hosts a grand opening for its new location in Southlake Town Square with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. While customers browse through the store’s selections they can enjoy snacks, enter a raffle and support the Heroes for Children charity as a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated. 4. Fossils in the botanical gardens
Fossil Fest kicks off the Jurassic Gardens Exhibit at the Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park. Participants can learn about dinosaurs through educational activities like digging for fossils. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Free admission to Fossil Fest activities, $8 per person to visit the Jurassic Gardens Exhibit, and admission is limited. 5. Yoga with puppies in Grapevine
The REC of Grapevine and the Grapevine Animal Shelter and Adoption Center partner to present puppy yoga classes, during which participants can exercise while getting to know shelter animals. Proceeds and donations will benefit the animal shelter, and adoption fees will be waived the day of the class. Attendees can sign up online. 10-10:45 a.m. $15 to admit individuals 13 years old and older; donations of soft dog treats, toys or beds to admit children 12 years old and younger. The Apex Art League is collaborating with the Grapevine Art Project and the Southlake Arts Council to host a fall-themed art exhibit.
